Our Mission

Excellent teaching is the foundation of equitable schools.  In partnership with local educators, we improve instruction and leadership through content and curriculum-specific training.  Together, we build schools and systems that help all students succeed.

What We Do

We tailor our supports to align with our partners’ unique instructional needs and trends in student performance.

Assessment of School Quality

From curriculum to operations, we collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify high-leverage methods to improve outcomes for all students.

Standards-Aligned ELA and Math Professional Development

Our custom, job-embedded trainings help educators understand the expectations of college and career ready standards, develop their content knowledge, and apply evidence-based instructional strategies.

Curriculum-Specific Training

Materials matter.  We provide training for educators on the Louisiana Guidebooks 2.0 ELA curriculum and other high quality Open Educational Resources (OERs).

Leadership Training and Support

Skilled instructional leaders drive school improvement. Through training and coaching, we help leaders implement high quality curricula, build strong teams, and create systems to support rigorous instruction.

Strategic Planning and Implementation

We help you manage organizational change to improve student outcomes. Together, we set data-driven goals, build stakeholder buy-in, and monitor progress.

Professional Learning Communities

We convene teams of educators to study standards-aligned instructional content and establish networks that drive equity and student achievement.

Partnerships

Hear from our partners about our work:

SchoolKit brought a unique perspective on how we could deliver specific, rich, and respectful learning opportunities to a variety of educators at all levels. Their ability to think through our participants' experience in great detail added value that translated to improved instructional practices.

Dan FleisherSenior Manager of Strategic Initiatives | Denver Public Schools

This has been the most enlightening and engaging professional learning we ever experienced. Not only did we gain deep knowledge of curriculum and instructional shifts, we also took away many strategies and moves for facilitating PD. It was also great to build relationships with other educators throughout the state that have now become friends.

Litsy WitkowskiChief of Staff | Academic Content Louisiana Department of Education

We partnered with SchoolKit to help guide us through a switch to EngageNY across our network. With 15 different schools using a variety of math curricula, we need to carefully plan for roll out and implementation of EngageNY. We worked with SchoolKit to launch a Math Steering Committee and a Math Instructional Leadership Institute to develop content knowledge and to build excitement about the change.
